SHANNON GAIL CAMPANARO

March 30, 1964 – September 18, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce that Shannon passed away on September 18 at home at the age of 58 years.

 

She is survived by her best friend in life of 58 years Fred. Her two son’s Adam (Taneisha) and Brandon (Natalya); Her two grandchildren Jaxon and Benjamin; Her three brothers Scott, Steven and Jamie. One niece Evelyn and one nephew Jamison and fellow Buddhists and co-workers.

 

Shannon was the kindest most loving person you could ever meet. The best mom anyone could ask for. She strived to build a good life for her two sons. She loved her family and loved playing video games with her sons and singing and dancing with them. She enjoyed taking her sons everywhere, to the beach, to museums, her entire world was her sons and their happiness, and she carried that love on with her grandsons. She was especially close with her grandson Jaxon. They got to spend a lot of time together and she cherished every moment. Christmas was always special in her house. She always did everything in her power to make sure it would be memorable. She loved chatting on the phone with her family and friends, she could talk for hours, and you always felt better after talking to her. Her best friend was Fred, they walked through life together and were always there for each other.

 

She was a third level CGI and worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of the President, to the Vice Provost of Academics for 17 years till her retirement. She was very passionate about her Buddhism; she made many friends in the Buddhist community.

 

A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1st, 2022, at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).
