It is with great sadness that the family of Terence (Terry) Gordon Mackey announce his passing at age 79, on November 251h, 2021 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

 

Terry is survived by his children, Brent (Catherine), Glenn (Karen), Laurie (Marcel) and Brenda (Kevin); grandchildren, Shane, Danielle (Shaun), Kylie, Lindy, Lucas, Karli (Login), Dylan (Shaina), and Madison; great grandchildren, Sophie and Easton; and a brother, Alan (Valerie).

 

Terry was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario and fulfilled his lifelong dream of living in British Columbia for several years before returning to Winnipeg to be closer to home. The simple things in life brought Terry great joy. He loved NHL hockey and kept current on the stats of several of his favorite teams. He was a talented carpenter and woodworker. He built several houses and models throughout his lifetime and he could often be found tinkering with his tools in his workshop. He always had a project on the go; if he could imagine it, he could build it. He enjoyed his daily outings on his scooter, exploring the many trails and walkways in South St. Vital.

 

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion in his final days.

 

Cremation has taken place and no services are being held at this time.
