May 23, 1958 – May 1, 2023

With great sadness we announce the passing of Debbie Mogg on May 1st, at 64 years old. 


Left to cherish her memory are her partner of 8 years, Rod Shears; brothers Bill (Diana), Brent (Dolores) and Dennis (Kim); Nieces Krystal (Ben), Monica (Mat, Monica’s mother Mona), Tory (Chris) and Emma; Nephews Bob, Cale (Jocelyn) and Braeden and many young great nieces and nephews. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Brian and Mary Mogg. 


Debbie was born in Montreal, Que. and moved to Winnipeg, Mb. with her family in 1976 at the age of 18. After graduating from high school in Montreal she continued with post secondary school, earning her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba in 1980.


Debbie spent most of her adult life living in Winnipeg, however lived in Geraldton and Kenora Ontario for a few years and the past 7 years she lived in Sandy Hook, Mb with her life partner, Rod.  


Debbie loved her shoes and the higher the heals the better, she was an avid reader, and loved the bargaining of garage sales and flea markets, dining out and coffee visits at Tim Hortons, weekly bingo evenings with her mother filled a lot of her social life. She enjoyed quiet evenings in her home in Sandy Hook with community friends, Rod and her two fur babies.  


Debbie was a great partner, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to many. She will be sadly missed.


A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at “The Farmers” building, 16255 Highway 231, Gimili Manitoba on Sunday June 25th, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Please bring a story or two about Debbie to share with all who can attend the afternoon celebration.


In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis’ Society of Canada Manitoba Division, or the Canadian Diabetes Association are welcomed.
