ANTONIO (TONY) MUSTO
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Tony Musto, loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who peacefully passed away at home on October 24, 2023.
He leaves behind in mourning his son Xander; siblings Dino, Josie (Rick), Julio (Laura), Ricardo, Frank, and Anna (Jason); his former spouse, Holly Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Raimondo and Graziella Musto; and sister-in-law Cathy Musto.
Tony was born in Winnipeg on August 30, 1965. Tony grew up in Point Douglas and graduated from St. John’s High School and received his Business Administration Diploma from Red River College.
In 1999, his life changed forever with the birth of his son Xander. Xander was his everything. His love for his son was insurmountable. He was the joy and highlight of his life. They were two peas in a pod.
Tony was a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky person that loved his family. He made many lifelong friends growing up in Point Douglas, through school, and at his final workplace, Stephenson Equipment, where he spent the last 21 years of his life. Tony will be remembered for the heart of gold he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them, and if you knew him, you knew it! Even during tough times, Tony always made time for his friends and family. Whether it was spending time with them, helping them with things, or lending an ear, he cared for all the people in his life, and made sure that they knew it every day.
He was a big kid at heart and loved fishing, biking, spending time with family and friends, going to the racetrack, watching pro wrestling (live and on television), watching football, going to arcades, camping, drawing, and painting.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Tony on Saturday, November 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
