BLAINE BENJAMIN BERRY

August 24, 1958 – January 15, 2024

The family of Blaine Berry is saddened to announce his sudden passing on January 15th at the age of 65 years.

He will be remembered by his children, Benjamin Blaine Grisdale, Samantha Grisdale, Shauna Grisdale, Julie Grisdale and Bradley Grisdale. He will also be missed by his close friend Wanda, and the many others who had the pleasure of knowing Blaine.

Blaine was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1958. He started life with complications, but he pulled through and grew into a healthy young boy. Due to unfortunate circumstances his home life wasn’t great however he ended up being adopted into a good family where he received all the love and care a young child should. He grew up with a love of sports and an endless curiosity, always questioning the world around him.

In his adult life he was a happy person, always smiling and trying his best to help others. He loved anything to do with the outdoors, whether it be camping with his kids, a barbeque with friends or just sitting out on the front lawn enjoying the beautiful weather. He had a deep love for animals especially his late dog Toby who he loved very much and his cat Simba who has been rehomed and will be well taken care of.

Blaine will be deeply missed and thank you to all who brought joy to his life throughout the years. Knowing he had friends and others who cared for him brings some happiness to his family in their time of sorrow.

The family would like to thank all his friends and loved ones that reached out to give their condolences and speak kind words of Blaine.

In Accordance with their wishes, cremation has taken place and no public formal service will be held.

Blaine's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

It was brought to my attention by a friend of mine who i have known for over 40 years that Blaine had passed away. I think half of St James knew who Blaine was because all of us spent untold hours playing hockey at Sturgeon Creek Community Center back in the late 70's and early 80's . Blain was a damn good hockey player . (Beautiful Skater) Godspeed Blaine and i got a feelin you are on the ice right now ready to play a good game of shinny ~ He shoots he scores
