ALAN DEAN CARMICHAEL

November 24, 1953 – April 6, 2024

Extremely hardworking, deeply loyal, always helpful and consistently kind. That’s how we would describe our father, Alan Dean Carmichael, who passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 70.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barb; sons, Denis (Janine) and their children Avia and Everly, and Steven (Jenn and her son Miles); sister Claire Carmichael (Larry Brandt), and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Archie and Alison, as well as his brother Ian.

An employee of Piston Ring for more than 40 years, Dad loved to cheer for the Winnipeg Jets and the Blue Bombers. He adored Mom and bought her flowers every week of their marriage.

Our family would like to thank the staff in the palliative care unit at St. Boniface Hospital. We will be gathering for a private celebration of life later. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.

Alan’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
