ROBERT JAMES FINLEY

With heavy hearts, we announce that Rob passed away on January 7, 2024 in Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 66.

He is survived by siblings; Leslie and Michael; extended family and friends.

Rob grew up in Gimli. His interest and passion for horses started as a young boy participating in 4H activities. This lifelong interest and love for horses shows up in his photos as he always made time to be around them. Like many of his friends, Rob left Gimli as a young man for work. He was employed in a variety of occupations during his working years including carpentry, airplane maintenance and manufacturing for Bristol Aerospace in Winnipeg. He moved on to Long Haul Trucking and enjoyed the travel lifestyle, seeing new places and meeting new people. When Rob returned to live in Gimli, he had time for his hobbies and interests. Photography, woodworking, leather tooling, and saddle building kept him busy. He will be missed.

In Accordance with their wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
