MICHELE JOY HARTLEY

September 5, 1963 – May 16, 2021

With heavy hearts, we announce that Michele Hartley passed away on May 16, 2021 in Riverview Health Centre at the age of 57 years.

She is survived by her mother Gloria Hartley, siblings Janet/Phil and Colette/John. Nieces, Stephanie, Leanne and Aimee. Nephews Ryan, Justin and Eric. Great nieces April and Ava and great nephew Kaleb and Khyson. Aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. Michele was predeceased by her father Norman Hartley and brother Blake, Paternal grandparents Lawrence/Anne Hartley, Maternal grandparents Benjamin/Albina Neault.

Michele was born and raised in Winnipeg. She graduated from Vincent Massey Collegiate in 1980. She worked at Pitt Leather Goods and then Kitchen Craft Cabinetry for many years.

She was dedicated in everything she did. She had an artistic talent as well. We always got her to do our drawings for us. Michele loved to travel with her little sister. We had great times together. She loved camping as well. Anyone who knew Michele well, knew she loved shopping. She could spend hours in the stores, Dollarama included. Her favourite music was Reggae Blues. Michele loved a good Tequila sunrise. She was a kind and loving person to everyone she knew.

Her adoration for her nieces and nephews was like no other. I think she was the biggest kid! She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital. The palliative care team and the amazing doctors and nurses on the palliative ward 3 East ay Riverview Health Centre. Thank you so much for the extraordinary care and compassion.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In the meantime, Michele's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by watching the photo-biography above.
