BRIAN JAHNKE

September 3, 1964 – August 18, 2025

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of my brother, Brian.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Brian was never one to venture away from home. He was quite content spending many hours playing video games with mom or watching his favourite sports teams. Trips to the casino was also enjoyed by Brian and his mom. When mom passed away it left a huge void in his life.

Brian had many jobs over the years – the last one at Chicken Chef Canada where he will be deeply missed by his work family.

Brian took great pride in all the cars he owned over the years. You might say he was a self-taught backyard mechanic, reading many auto mechanics books, offering his opinion, and giving advice when asked.

Brian will be deeply missed by his sister Erika (John); Uncle Kurt; cousins, Rose and Rose.

He was predeceased by his dad Heinz; mother Ruby; grandparents; most recently his Aunt Bridgette; and his beloved dog Spotty.

Rest in peace, my dear brother.

You are now free from

all pain and life’s worries.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.

Brian’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Kimmy to you

September 20, 2025 at 3:40 PM

Years of friendship, countless hours of conversations that often included late night belly laughs, secrets, our life's regrets that often ended in the creation of new dreams and aspirations. You told me in July that you were going to take a vacation this year. I was happy to finally hear you say that. You were opinionated but heartfelt and told it like it was. I respected you for that even when it ticked me off lol.. "We have been talking for 4 hours kimmy!" , you would say....and then the hang up part of the conversatoon would take another 2 hours. You would say it was my fault and I would say it was yours for being tired at work the next day. Jokes about your sausage and Threes Company re-run addiction somehow made

its way into every conversation. You could laugh at yourself. I liked that about you.

You shared a lot about work. You loved your work family❤️. We even talked about heaven. You said you would be the first to go. I guess you were right.

You hoped heaven was real and that Spotty would be there. We agreed that he would be. He must have been so happy to see you. You were a great friend and confidant Brian. It is really hard to know your gone from this world but I know I will see you again one day. I will miss you and will always remember the joy and truth you brought to my life💕 Mucho love Brian.
