REGAN HAROLD OLAFSON

August 27, 1975 - May 29, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Regan at age 47 on Monday, May 29, 2023 at HSC in Winnipeg.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Soren (Savannah), Tyra (Matthew), Gunnar, and Loa. He always said his children were the greatest part of his life. He is also survived by his parents, Gail and Harold (Holly); sisters Kyla (Kenny) Chelsey, Lindsay, Kahleigh (Paul), Katrina, and Shelby (Dillon); many nieces and nephews whom he adored; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

 

Regan was a hard worker and from a very young age he worked away with his Afi John in construction. Throughout the years he became very respected as a project leader and made many friends along the way.

 

Regan had a very generous nature and he lived life to the fullest. It didn't matter what his own struggles were, he never hesitated to help anyone in need. His final act of kindness was the donation of his kidneys which changed the lives of two individuals.

 

His family would like to thank the staff at Brandon Hospital ICU & HSC Surgical ICU for the great care of Regan & comfort to his family during this difficult time.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transplant Manitoba – Gift of Life, Health Science Centre, Winnipeg Manitoba SR3 – 820 Sherbrook Street Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1R9

A private family burial will take place at a later date.
