LINDA REED
(née IVERSON)
July 31, 1947 – July 9, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce that Linda passed away on July 9, 2026 at the age of 78.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years Bob; children Todd (Angela), Kim (Kevin), Scott (Stacey), Buddy (Janna), Robyn (Chris), and Ryan; grandchildren Sara, Dylan, Jesse, Blake, Markus, Annia, Ashton, Tobin, Aurora, Gabriel, Vada, and Robbie; siblings Grant (Marlene), Pam (Dave), and Cindy (Norm).
Linda was born and raised in Winnipeg’s west end and she loved to share her memories of growing up on Ferry Road, surrounded by her family of two loving parents, Bill and Cora and her six siblings, Frank (Skip), Jim, Judy, Grant, Pam, and Cindy. She started working for the Toronto Dominion Bank at Main Branch as a teller in the ’70’s, and other than the odd transfer to a new branch every decade or so, became a well-known and well-loved coworker within her role for almost 40 years.
Linda’s true devotion was always to her family, especially her kids and grandchildren. She loved nothing more than spending time with them in any capacity, whether it be a walk around the Zoo, birthdays, holidays, even the briefest afternoon visits meant the world to her. She always made sure there was a fresh batch of cookies or cupcakes at the ready for little hands to pilfer and she loved being able to sew all sorts of clothing for her grandkids. She took pride in making a comfortable home for friends and family alike to visit and spending time in her flower gardens brought her great joy. Her warm and loving spirit will be remembered by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing her, she will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
