LARRY VICTOR PENNER

September 7, 1947 - April 12, 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Larry Victor Penner on Tuesday April 12, 2022 at the age of 74.

 

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty; his two sons Cameron, Joel (Carmela); daughter-in-law Roberta; grandchildren Luke, Eric, Kyle and Dharma; sisters Anita, Helen (Ken), Shirley (Claude), Kimberly (David); brother-in-law Bill (Barb); sisters-in-law Donna (Doug), Wendy (Chris), Allison; and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by his mother Anne; brother David; his mother and father-in-law, Ida and Eric Allen; brothers-in-law Ken Allen and Bill Punak; and sister-in-law Judy Penner.

 

Larry was born September 7, 1947 in Steinbach Manitoba and soon after the family moved to Winnipeg. He grew up with a love of cars and motorcycles, spending many hours tinkering in his shop.

 

A heavy equipment operator by trade he worked on many large pipeline, mining and dam projects across western and northern Canada. Larry was a talented operator and could run almost anything, but was most proficient in the seat of an excavator.

 

In accordance with Larry’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no service.

 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the WFPS and the staff of the Grace Hospital Emergency Department for the care they provided to Larry.
