SUSAN PIERCY

(née ROZNOWSKY)

June 19, 1975 – January 15, 2022

Susan Piercy (nee Roznowsky) was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, friend, niece, and much, much more.  She left this world suddenly at her home on January 15, 2022 at age 46 years.

Susan was one of six children, born on June 19, 1975 in Dauphin, Manitoba, to Nick and Norma Roznowsky (nee Bretecher), who have both predeceased her.  Nick was a school bus driver and Norma was a homemaker.  Susan grew up in Waterhen, MB, moved to Dauphin for high school and then moved to Winnipeg for her adult life.  She attended Waterhen Elementary School and then Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School.  Susan became a hair stylist and worked as one the whole time she lived in Winnipeg.  She was even a Co-owner of a hair and beauty salon for several years and was very proud of it.

Susan is survived by her husband, Rob Piercy, two daughters, Erica and Alice, as well as her sisters, Jacquie (Paddy), Marilyn (Rob), two brothers, Craig (Iona), and Cory (Heather); and her nephews, nieces, and great-nephews, Colleen, Amanda, Katie, Sean, Arista, Kian, Cody, Levi, Martina, Theodore and Sebastian.

Susan was the youngest girl in the family and her older siblings always took care of her.  After moving to the City she met Rob and they had their first daughter, Erica.  They then got married and shortly thereafter had their second daughter, Alice.

Sue enjoyed camping, loved Harley motorcycles and spending time with her family.  She was huge on speaking of her daughters, she always bragged about them.  She loved spending time watching some of her favorite television shows.  Susan lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures, such as chatting with friends, snacking, and spending time with her family.

Everyone who knew Sue felt she had a tough exterior but had a big heart and giving nature inside.  She will be missed!

Her siblings paid this tribute to her: “I will always hold you so dear in my heart. I miss you so much, but I know that wherever you are, you are at peace.  I miss our laughs and stories, the joyous times we spent together will forever hold a special place in my heart. I miss you so much, but I know that wherever you are, you are at peace.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice on her behalf.

I can no longer see you with my eyes,

touch you with my hands,

But I can feel you in my heart forever!
