Edward Wiebe, first born of Ed and Rose Wiebe of Altona, MB, and one of the original initiators of the Winnipeg Canoe-a-Thon (fundraiser for the Association for Community Living, passed away in Mexico at the age of 69 years.
Edward Brian Wiebe was the first-born of five children of Ed and Rose Wiebe (née Wiedeman) of Altona, MB. As the wise big brother, he taught his siblings to ride bikes and skate, read them stories, gave advice. He enjoyed holidays at Moose Lake where he learned to love nature, water ski, boat, and fish.
