Pamela Dawn Quinn
January 20, 1976 - September 18, 2019
(née Kenyon)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Pam’s passing after a 2.5-year struggle with cancer on September 18, 2019, at the age of 43 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Pam is survived by her wonderful husband Grant, and their precious sons, Ian and Kyle, her parents Ron and Linda Kenyon, her brother Shawn (Danica), Grant’s parents Howard and Marietta Quinn, her grandmothers Lena Unrau and Elena Ruivivar and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandparents Peter Unrau, Mary Kenyon and Grenville Kenyon.
Pam was born and educated in Winnipeg, graduating with her Bachelor of Education and eventually, her Post Baccalaureate in Special Education. She chose to teach in London, England, where she met her husband Grant Quinn. Eight years later, she and Grant moved to Winnipeg, where Pam taught across many schools in the St James-Assiniboia School division.
Pam was a dedicated mother. She treasured her children and valued every moment with them. She loved adventures, travelling across Europe, and of course to South Africa. A few memorable trips with her boys were Spring break ski trips to Banff, summers holidays in the trailer camping and a romantic getaway to Jamaica. The most significant, was a trip to Maui with her husband and boys. This took place during her recovery following the treatment for her initial cancer diagnosis.
Special thanks to Pam’s friends Shanon, Diane, Michelle, Darcy and Stephanie for all their love and support.
