With heavy hearts, we announce that Mary Anne passed away on September 14, 2020 in the Charleswood Care Centre the age of 79 years.

Mary Anne is survived by her children, Kathryn Greenlay (Norm), Timothy (Janice), Barry (Tannis), Michael (Paula), Susan Zeke (Barry), Gail Hellman (Serge), and Marlene Yakimoski (Kevin).  MaryAnne also loved and adored her numerous grandchildren, Aidan, Clinton, Danielle, Kyle, Brandon, Matthew, Ryan, Sam, and Josh, and was very proud of all their accomplishments; sisters Rosaline Filjak and Natalie Lenkewich; brother David and numerous nieces and nephews. MaryAnne was the second youngest of nine children born to Mary and Bill Pasowysty of Neepawa, MB.  She was also predeceased by siblings Elsie Morosky, Tony, Josephine Philips, Jenny Barca and Peter, all from Neepawa, Manitoba.

Mary-Anne was enormously grateful for all the extra time, attention and care that Dylan was able to share with her during the final months of her life. She also appreciated Jennifer, who always took the time to visit with her and listen to her many happy childhood stories that MaryAnne loved to share.

Mary Anne was born and raised in Neepawa and attended elementary and Jr high school.  Shortly after moving to Winnipeg she studied stenography, excelling in the field. She also obtained a serving job at the Beachcombers Restaurant, downtown Winnipeg, for several months which led her to settle down and marry William Ho. They would eventually have seven children together.  Mary Anne enjoyed learning to crochet, cook and garden while raising her children and took pride in all of their achievements.  Over the years, and after the passing of her second husband, Claude Robert, Mary Anne loved to read and do crossword puzzles and sudoku to help pass the time.  Mary Anne had a delightful and playful heart and loved to laugh.  She loved to watch comedies from the 60’s and 70’s from Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin to earlier Danny Kay movies and then eventually Netflix.  Her contagious laughter and positive disposition would always make everyone feel right at home and happy to be around and why she always had a houseful of guests for sometimes days on end.

Mary Anne deeply loved and cared for each and every family member and was surrounded by her loving family during her final months of her life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A private celebration of Mary Anne’s life will be held amongst family. In the meantime, Mary Anne’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by viewing the photos above.
