GARY LOUIS STILL

March 28, 1944 - October 6, 2021

With extremely heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our dearest father, husband, papa, brother, uncle and our friend Gary.

Gary passed away on Oct 6, 2021 at the age of 77, with family at his side.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gilberte; daughters, Shelley Fucile (Jeff) and Shannon Vacchiano (Sam); grandchildren, Brad Fucile (Ashley), Brandon Fucile (Megan) Madison Fucile (Brent), Ashlee Vacchiano (Joe), and Brayden Vacchiano; great grandchildren, Caleb and Isabella Readman; sister Louise Barrow (Fred); and brother Earl Bjornson (Judy). Gary was also very close to his wife’s family, Jean-Paul, (Gloria), Lucille (Jim), Marie (Neil), Lorraine (Brett), Carmelle (Pat), Annette (Gordie), Rolly, Gilbert (Gel), Cecile (Frank), Louis (Patty), and George, as well as many nieces / nephews, relatives, and friends. Gary is predeceased by his mother Bernice Still and his mother-in-law Cecile Larocque.

Gary met the love of his life at the BA Garage & Restaurant he co-operated in Manitoba. Shortly after they married, they moved to Thunder Bay, ON where Gary worked for Safeway, and became store manager. Shortly after retiring from Safeway, Gary, Gilberte and the entire family moved to Manitoba, where they settled in the town of Mitchell. Gary loved golf, fishing, sports, downhill skiing, dancing and manicuring his beautiful yard, but mostly he loved being with his family.

Gary was friendly, outgoing, humorous, and kind-hearted. He will forever be remembered and loved by his family and friends.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, a private celebration of Gary’s life will be held amongst close family and friends at 19 Poplar Place, Mitchell, MB on Saturday Oct 16th at 12-4PM. Anyone interested in attending may contact the family by emailing shelleyfucile@yahoo.ca
