CHARLES PETER

"CHUCK" TURNER

May 22, 1947 -December 4, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Chuck, beloved husband, dad, and grandfather.

Chuck leaves his wife Roseanne; daughter Dawn Gorman (Rodney), and their children, Max and Ashlyn; son Robin (Christina) and their children, Sam and James.

Chuck was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Bette and George Turner on May 22, 1947. Chuck had a variety of careers; working at Salisbury House, Burns Meats, Roto Rooter and Endries until his retirement at the age of 60. Over the years, Chuck had been active in several sports from fishing, hockey, curling, and broomball to his favorite hobby, golfing and later on with dog walking his "granddog", Chief. Chuck was a great mentor, coach and fan to both Dawn and Robin's sports teams. Chuck enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Always wrestling with the boys and playing games with Ashlyn. For many years Chuck enjoyed spending his "leisure" time at the family cottage at Winnipeg Beach with his brother Jamie, and family. Over the years, he had various circles of friends.

From hanging outs with the guys, he grew up with, to the men he played sports with, as well as social gatherings with the St. Emile group. And, most of all he enjoyed sitting in front of a good bonfire cradling a stiff rum and coke.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister Brenda Allarie (Maurice); brother Jamie (Laura Lyne); sister Maryalla (Benattou); and their families. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Bette and George and niece Nicole Jones.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, Chuck’s family kindly requests that his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos and/or sharing your own memories and stories using the comment section on this page.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
