It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of our beloved Jordan Tyler Akerstream, at the age of 29,  on June 15, 2020.  He was a father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Jordan was predeceased by his grandfathers Alex Kolpenuick and Ernest Akerstream; auntie Margaret Akerstream; and uncle Dennis Kopychanski. Jordan's memory will be cherished by his loving mother Rosa Akerstream and stepfather Ronald Laing.  He will be sadly missed by his daughter Jenaya Akerstream-Woods and the mother of his daughter Ashley Woods.  Also leaving behind his siblings Grace, Shaka, and Jemecia,  his special grandmother Kathleen Akerstream, auntie Angel Akerstream, and best-friend Darcy.

Jordan, was a compassionate, caring, easygoing man with a beautiful heart .  He was very adventurous and enjoyed bike riding.  He loved to sing rap while blaring his music.  His character was so unique there was never a dull moment when he stepped in a room.

A celebration of Jordan's life was held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Grace Point Church, 137 Euclid Avenue.

Jordan , we were never ready for you to leave.  You will forever remain in our hearts and be dearly missed.

Thank you everyone for your prayers, condolences, and most of all support.

WHEN I LOST YOU

I wish I could see you one more time,

Come walking through the door,

But I know that is impossible,

I will hear your voice no more.

I know you can feel my tears

and you don't want me to cry,

Yet my heart is broken because

I can't understand why,

Someone so precious Would have to die.

I pray that god will give me strength,

And somehow get me through as I struggle,

With the heartache that came awhen I lost you.
