LORRAINE ANITA MARTINA BELIVEAU

(née HOGUE)

May 7, 1943 – October 22, 2020

With heavy hearts, we announce that Lorraine passed away peacefully on October 22 in the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 77 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 34 years Albert Beliveau; step-daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Trevor Smith, Corinne and Mike Elliott; grandchildren DeShonn, Kelby,  Marett, Nelson, and Jackson; great-grandchildren Makenna, Bristol, Leelyn, and Braylee; brother Robert Hogue of British Columbia; aunts and uncles; nieces, and nephews; and extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Jean Hogue in 1995 and Martina Hogue in 2017.

Lorraine was born in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, Manitoba and raised in Winnipeg by her parents Jean and Martina Hogue along with her brother, Bob.  Lorraine attended grade school in St. Boniface and after graduation started her career at The Co-operators Insurance Co.  Lorraine worked at the Co-operators for 42 years retiring in 1999 from her career as an Insurance Adjuster. In their early retirement Lorraine and Al loved to travel to Vancouver Island to visit brother Bob, Texas, California, Nevada and many other states and in 2016 travelled with family to Kauai, Hawaii. Later in retirement Lorraine and Al moved to Somerset, Manitoba where they spent their time with her brother Bob and mother Martina, moving back to Winnipeg in September 2019. Lorraine always made the grand-kids feel special on their birthdays and Christmas and was known as GG to her great-grandchildren. She was able to meet the newest great-grandchild in September which brought a smile to her face.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services held. Lorraine’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.
