LELLA (PILERIA) CELESTE

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pileria Lella Celeste on November 6, 2022 at 68 years of age.

Lella was born in Cosenza Italy Feb 11, 1954 and came to Winnipeg with her mother in 1969 to be with her sister. In 1972 she was married and after several years had her  only daughter .

She was predeceased by her father Umberto Celeste, sister Franca, Londero and mother Maria. Celeste (Carbone)

Lella worked at the TD bank  for many years before changing careers to eventually work in PY South at the Health Sciences Center until she retired. She was a fun and caring lady who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will always be remembered for her love of music and dancing, Value Village shopping outings,  a trip to the casino, her delicious cooking,  and the love she had for her grandchildren. She will be treasured as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, partner, and friend. She loved her work, friends, family and her cats Sasha, Puma, Percy, Natasha and Marco.

Lella will be sadly missed and remembered by her daughter Sabrina Spaeth (Abromeit), grandchildren Sienna and Summer, niece Teresa and nephew Paul Londero of Vancouver, her partner David, and Sabrina's father Eric.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will held at a later date.

You are now together with your family again Mom.

Lella's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Not a minute, not an hour,
Not a day will go by
We won't think of you, Mom
And smile or sigh.

You enriched our lives
While you were here.
Now we must learn to live
Without you so near.

Time may soften the blow,
But your memory won't fade.
Not a day will go by
We won't wish you could have stayed.
