With heavy hearts, we announce that Cindy passed away on August 5, 2019 at the age of 61 years.

 

She is survived by her father William; sisters Cheryl (Mike) and Donna (Denis); brother Neil; stepdaughter Katrina; granddaughter Shiloh; nephews Michael, James and Christopher; niece Lisa, as well as long-time friends Cathy, Terri, Brenda and Debbie.  She is predeceased by her mother Grace and her partner Sherri.

 

Cindy loved her family; especially Shiloh who managed to make her laugh and smile all the time.  She enjoyed family get togethers and special holidays.  Cindy was also a foster parent for many years.

 

She was an avid reader and also liked to visit movie theatres with her friends. She enjoyed camping and in previous years, spent a good portion of the summer at the Oasis campground.  Winter holidays took her to Hawaii, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. 

 

Cindy attended William Whyte, Luxton, St. John’s and the University of Manitoba where she obtained her teaching degree. However, after many years, due to health reasons, she had to retire and worked at Duffy’s Taxi until her passing.

A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 at the Canadian Mennonite University Chapel, 600 Shaftesbury Boulevard (Grant & Shaftesbury).
