ARTHUR VICTOR DELORME

September 6, 1939 - October 12, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Delorme after a long-fought battle with cancer.

He is predeceased by his parents, Damase and Monique Delorme; as well as his 6 brothers and 8 sisters.

He will be dearly missed by long-time friend Rosalie; children Yvonne, Priscille, Junior (Kathy), and Colin (Odette). He will be lovingly remembered by his sweetheart Rose; and son Nathan. Arthur will be missed by so many, including his brother Alfie; nephews; nieces; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many friends he made throughout his life.

Arthur took great pride in his work. He started working at a young age and kept moving until his last weeks of life. He was a jack of all trades and able to operate all kinds of machinery. He spent many years at the Stonewall Quarry. He also did various jobs including fencing, harvesting, mechanical work and wood cutting. He had a passion for his horses. He was highly respected by many people for his work ethic. If he wasn’t working, he loved visiting friends and family. We all loved sitting around listening to his endless stories of his life and adventures. Especially, the time he spent working in Ponton, MB.

The family would like to thank CancerCare at Health Sciences Centre for their exceptional care, especially Nurse Jane and family doctor Mark Fréchette. Thank you to the Lecuyer family for giving Arthur a loving home throughout the years.

An outdoor service will be held on Friday, October 22nd at 1400pm at the St.Laurent Parish. Due to covid restrictions we will be following Public Health Regulations.

There will be sorrow, there will be tears. But just close your eyes and you will see me. I am always near. Listen, you will hear my voice. Hold your heart and you will feel me. I am never gone; I will always be with you. It’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later.
