Our dear Mom passed peacefully in her sleep on December 1, 2023

 

Mom was born in RM of Stanley and raised in Winkler and surrounding township, where she attended school

 

She is predeceased by her parents Peter & Suzanna Wiebe and her sisters, Mary, Kaye, Susan and Helen.

 

She is survived by her children Sandy Hagen (Mike) of Victoria, BC, Paul Drummond (Cheryl), Curtis Drummond (Dee), and Kerry Drummond of Winnipeg, 8 grandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews

 

Mom was a very kind soul, she loved her children and raised them on her own as a single mom, she was proud of each of them.

She was very proud and also could be very stubborn, she knew exactly what she wanted and just how she wanted things to be and there was no changing her mind for anything.

 

She stood tall and proud and raised her children to be the same.

 

Mom always said to stand up for yourselves and your family and we do.

 

Mom loved her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and spent time with them as

much as she could.

 

She had many friends and loved her crafting and gardening, and she loved to dance, if you asked, she would knit you a sweater, or give you some of the tomatoes she grew, if she had any to spare.

 

She purchased her own home in Winnipeg all on her own, which she was very proud of in 1984 where she lived out her life on her own terms.

The family wishes to express our sincerest thank you to Concordia Hospital Palliative Care staff and Riverview Health Centre Palliative care unit staff for their gentle care and kindness for our Mom in her final days.

 

She is at peace now, and will not be forgotten.

She will be very much missed and remembered by her children, family and friends.

 

We will carry our memories of her in our hearts, and hope you will do the same.
