KEITH FRAZER HARRINGTON

February 22, 1944 – October 20, 2021

On the morning of Wednesday, October 20, 2021, after a short but brave battle with cancer, Keith Harrington passed away at the age of 77.

Left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his wife of 56 years, Nellie; sons, Rob Harrington and Kyle Harrington; daughter Kristine (Don) MacVicar; his four grandsons, Jake, Eric and Dylan MacVicar and Sidney Harrington; sisters, Carol, Tracy and Kelly; brothers, Skip, Lee, Shaun and Rick; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. Keith loved all his children and grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them.

Keith was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Irene Harrington.

Keith was born in Winnipeg on February 22, 1944. His father was in the army so as a boy Keith moved frequently with his family. He lived at various times in British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario.  It was in Winnipeg where Keith would meet the love of his life, Nellie. They married on September 18, 1965 and settled down in Winnipeg. There they happily raised their three children as well as the many pets they had over the years.

Keith had an ability to get along with everyone and had a way of making people feel at ease. He had a quick wit and plenty of ‘Dad jokes’ which he shared frequently.

Keith was a very hard worker who continued to educate himself throughout his career. He worked his way up from a TV repair man to a computer technician.  He worked on everything from PCs to medical equipment to retail computer systems. He was everybody’s favorite computer tech wherever he worked. Keith continued his career until he was laid off of work in late 2019 at the age of 75.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and case worker from St. Boniface Palliative Care. Special thanks to Skip and Carmen for their love and support. And thank you to our friends and neighbors, especially Tom and Christine.

As per Keith’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service. The family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

If so desired, there is a GOFUNDME page set up in Keith’s name.
