SHEILA DIANE MAUGHAN

June 26, 1977 - March 25, 2022

After a lengthy illness, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of Sheila Diane Maughan on Friday March 25th, 2022 at St. Boniface Hospital. Sheila was born in Winnipeg and leaves to mourn her father David; brother Kyle (Kim); and many aunts and uncles and cousins who loved her dearly. Sheila was pre deceased by her Mother, Margaret Maughan .

Sheila had been residing in a group home for the past 13 plus years. Tanya McInnes the manger of the care home has been Sheila’s dearest caregiver.

The family has been so grateful for the wonderful care the home had given to Sheila to give her a happy and wonderful quality of life with many outings and fun planned events. Sheila also lived with at the home a great companion, Cindy, who took Sheila under her wing like a sister.

Sheila loved her outings, car rides, and her love for Lego playing. She had a wonderful smile and laugh, especially when she had a Coca-Cola in her hand.

The family would like to thank St Boniface nurses and doctors for their wonderful care during her illness. Also, the greatest of thanks to Tanya McInnes and all the caregivers at Sheila’s home to whom we owe our dearest appreciation for all these years.

Sheila will truly be missed. She is now in Heaven along side her mother.

We will love you and miss you forever.

Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.

Sheila’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
