MARY NOWAK

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear Mary on November 15, 2023, at the age of 70.

Left to forever cherish her memory are her brothers John (Pat) and Henry, sister Hania (Ray), nieces Terri (Johnny), Shannon (Peter), Kristen (Rob), nephew Darren, great nephews Joshua, Noah, Riley, Aaden and great niece Payton.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Boleslaw and Janina, brother Mike, sister-in-law Linda, niece Tracy and nephew Jon Allen.

Mary was born on June 6, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  She had a long career as a Health Care Aide at Holy Family Nursing Home in Winnipeg and Betel Home in Selkirk until her retirement.

Mary had many creative talents.  It wouldn’t take much for her to put together a gift or Christmas decoration as she made incredible wreaths and crafts.  Her inspiration was her love of music and sewing skills which led the way to knitting and quilting beautiful gifts for any occasion.  She was definitely skilled in the kitchen with many outstanding recipes that she would pass down and share.

She was such a loving ciocia and cherished the time she spent with her great nephews and niece whom she spoiled with love and happiness in every way she could.

“Those we love don’t go away

They walk beside us everyday

Unseen, unheard but always near

So loved, so missed and held so dear”

Mary, Moja Droga, you will be forever in our love filled hearts.

You will be greatly missed.
