LILY AGIUS

It is with the deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lily Agius on September 2, 2026.

Lily was the proud mother of Ray and Les (Donna), grandmother to Tiffany, Chantel, Tyler and Riley and great grandmother to Tripp.

Mom spent the last few years of her life in Dinsdale Personal Care home in Brandon battling dementia which robbed her and her family of precious quality time. We would like to thank Dinsdale for their excellent care of Mom, particularly her nurse, Mary.

Lily was born February 19, 1941 on the tiny island of Malta and emigrated to Canada with her husband and two small children in the late 1960’s to call Winnipeg home.

She worked for many years at Silpit Industries, where lasting friendships were made. After leaving Silpit, she lived a relatively quiet life, with her family and husband George being her focus.

She was a talented seamstress and made many of her own clothes. Her home was decorated with curtains and drapes she made herself.

Lily and George enjoyed camping, fishing and trips that were made with their motorhome, especially when the grandchildren were with them. She was famous for her Maltese Pastizzi, Easter treats and homemade pasta.

Mom will be greatly missed but we feel fortunate that we had mom as long as we did.

Cremation has taken place and Mom and Dad will have their ashes spread in Malta.
