GAYLINE ANN AINLEY

October 13, 1943 – March 24, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gayline “Gay” Ainley. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for over four years and passed away at Riverview Hospital.

Predeceased by husbands, Walter King (1987) and Richard Ainley (2021).

She will be remembered by her daughter Judy (Shawn); grandchildren, Shane (Sam) and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Leah and Zoey; step-children, Pam and Rick; and step-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Rowan.

She was born in Swan River, Manitoba, and moved to Winnipeg with her siblings Elva, June, Alvin, Marilyn, and Brian.

She worked at various places – Dominion Store, Canadian Tire, and Shoppers.

She had a great sense of humour, unwavering support and unconditional love for people and animals.

You are my sunshine,

My only sunshine.

You make me happy

When skies are grey.

Do you know, dear,

How much I love you?

So please don’t take

My sunshine away.

My grandpa used to sing this song to my grandmother, and it now has become a tradition. This was one of the last songs that my mom and I sang together. Forever in my heart mom. Love you to the moon and back. Until we meet again!

Fly high! Fly free!

You now have the wings of eternity!

To the neighbor/friend I'll never forget.

You always had the smile that would brighten up the room and make me laugh. I always enjoyed our conversations we had. I miss you. May you rest in peace. ❤️
