It is with deep sadness that the family of James David Ali announces his passing at the age of 80 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Born in Tobago on December 12, 1944, James came to Canada as a young man to pursue his university education and went on to build a life marked by quiet strength, humility, and simplicity. He cherished the small pleasures—good music, a thoughtful book, and the peace of a steady routine.
A devoted fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Winnipeg Jets, James found joy and connection in following his hometown teams. His gentle spirit, calm presence, and subtle humour touched all who knew him.
James was predeceased by his beloved wife, Enid Ali. He leaves behind his children, Tara Michelle, Derek Stewart, and David Anthony, who will hold his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love in their hearts forever.
The family remembers him as a quiet soul who lived simply, loved deeply, and left a legacy of kindness.
