Dorothy Allen

DOROTHY ANN ALLEN
(née Moore)
December 28, 1936 — February 11, 2026
Dorothy Ann Allen, devoted daughter of Christina and Thomas Moore, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She was born on December 28, 1936, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and was raised on the family farm alongside eight brothers and sisters. Those early years shaped her strong work ethic, deep love of family, and practical, caring nature.
Dorothy was a devoted and hardworking homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She appreciated life’s simple delights and loved the company of good friends and the pleasures of community life. She enjoyed bowling, curling, golfing, and playing cards. One of the defining chapters of her life came when she and her beloved husband Arthur made the significant decision to leave Saskatchewan and start a new life in Manitoba. It was a brave move — leaving behind family and familiar surroundings to build something new. They created many lasting memories over 47 years until his passing in 2001.
She will be lovingly
remembered and sadly missed.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Lynn (predeceased John), Kevin (Trudy), and Dale (Susan); she was very proud of her eight grandchildren: Colin; Katy (Chris); Bryan; Chelsea; Brett (Cara); Samantha (Jordan); Ben (Vanessa); and Matthew (Miranda); and her two beloved great-grandchildren, Hayden and Blake. She was happiest knowing her children were well and her grandchildren were finding their paths.
She is also survived by her sisters, Ruby (Garry) and Charlotte; her brother, John (Melissa); her brother-in-law, Keith and her sister-in-law, Faye (Roy). She was predeceased by brothers and sisters Les, Harold, Olive, Jean and Louise. She enjoyed her many nieces and nephews and loved the family reunions where she could catch up with family.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with her wishes, no funeral service will be held. Those who wish may honour her memory with a donation to a charity of their choice or to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

Dorothy and husband Art were wonderful friends and neighbours to my parents for many years in Windsor Park. After both Art and my dad Jim Warren passed Dorothy and my mom Jean were great friends and Dorothy supported and visited my mom often . My mom loved her wonderful kind visits. The Allens were always part of our family events.
