MARIE AMBROZY

February 21, 1925 - August 28, 2024

Marie Ambrozy, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at St. Norbert Care Home, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. She was surrounded by her family and the compassionate care of the staff during her final days. Marie's journey began in Winnipeg, where she was born and raised on a dairy farm off of McPhillips.

Marie's life was intertwined with love and devotion to her family. She met her beloved husband, Adam, at Swift Canadian, and they shared a beautiful journey together, marked by love, companionship, and countless shared experiences. They were united in marriage in July 1947, embarking on a lifelong adventure hand in hand.

As a dedicated homemaker, Marie's days were filled with nurturing her family and supporting Adam in his endeavors. She was Adam's trusted companion, his number one helper for all his handyman projects. Marie's skills extended beyond the home; she was an avid gardener, tending to both her vegetable garden and her flower beds with passion and care. Even at the cottage in West Hawk Lake, she found solace in gardening, though the local deer occasionally enjoyed her blooms as well.

Marie's love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She poured her heart into caring for them, always willing to drop everything to offer her support and love. Summers at the cottage were a cherished tradition for the Ambrozy family, filled with laughter, outdoor adventures, and precious moments spent together. Whether it was boating on the lake, swimming, fishing, or enjoying campfires and card games, Marie was at the heart of every memory created.

In addition to her roles as wife, mother, and grandmother, Marie and Adam enjoyed traveling extensively, particularly during their retirement years. Their winters in Florida were filled with walks on the beach, visits with loved ones, and the simple joy of spending time together.

Marie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her warm embrace, and her gentle spirit. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched. Marie Ambrozy will forever be missed and cherished.

She is survived by her son Ron (Nancie); daughters, Linda, Sandra (Gary), Susan (Ronald), and Tracey (Brad); many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Marie is predeceased by her husband Adam; daughter Judy; parents; sister Elsie; and brother George.

The family is planning a private service and interment of ashes at a future date.

Marie’s family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.
