ROBERT JAMES ASHLEY

Robert Ashley passed away at the Grace General Hospital on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the age of 26 years.

Treasured son of Bruce and Barb Ashley; big brother to Rachel Ashley (Mack) and Colin Ashley. He is also survived by his sister Jackie Spear, girlfriend Rebecca Rummery and numerous friends and relatives.­­­

From the beginning, Rob captured our hearts with his gentle soul and high energy. He was charming, perceptive, and determined (aka stubborn). He had a contagious laugh and could light up the world with his smile.

Throughout his childhood Robert played on a variety of sports teams in the St. James area, (hockey, soccer, lacrosse, swimming). Rob loved UFC and music. He was involved in playing music and recording with his friends. He attended Ecole Assiniboine, Golden Gate Middle School, Silver Heights Collegiate and Sturgeon Heights Collegiate.

Robert’s organs were donated for transplant so a little of him will continue to walk the earth. He will remain in our hearts forever.

A memorial was held from 4:30 – 6:30 Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Deer Lodge Community Club, 323 Bruce Avenue.
