ERIC THOMAS AYRES JR

January 16, 1959 – January 19, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Eric Ayers Jr on January 19, 2024 at the age of 65.

He leaves to mourn in his passing siblings, Audie (Kim), Cori (Bert) MacVicar, Betty Conroy, Janet (Ian) Davies, James, and Mia. Eric had a great love for all his nephews and nieces like they were his own. Also to mourn his passing is his stepson Brennan Normand. He will be missed by Aunt Leona and many cousins. Eric will be missed by his long-time friend Debra Fisher and her son Tyson.

Eric was born in Winnipeg on January 16, 1959 to Rita L. Ayres and Eric Thomas Ayres Sr. He was raised in St. Vital, Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended Glenwood School. There he made many friends of whom he still kept in contact with many years later. Eric was employed at Granny’s Poultry for 22 years and had many friends that will miss him there.

Eric loved to work in his garage, doing repairs and hobbies over the years. Eric also loved to be out and about on his Harley.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Eric’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

I was very sorry to hear of Eric’s passing. Sad news to hear about one of the good group of old Glenwood and St. V Hotel guys. Lots of good memories and fun shared in the old days with the whole group. My deepest condolences to Eric’s family.

So so sorry I just found out. I grew up with the Ayer’s family as my second family. We had so much fun at their house on Blenheim. Great memories. Love that family. He will definitely be missed. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
