Rolanda Barrett

In Loving Memory of
ROLANDA MARIE BARRETT
Sunrise: January 27, 1943 - Sunset: October 15, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rolanda Marie Barrett—affectionately known as “Ro”—on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of 82.
Ro was born on January 27, 1943, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the way she made others feel truly at home. Ro found joy in the simple and the special: she loved watching curling, her many years at the lake, cheering for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and travelling to see new places. Above all, she loved her family—gatherings, stories, laughter, and the everyday moments that became treasured memories.
Ro is lovingly survived by her daughter, Kim Antonation (Todd Antonation); her son, Kevin Barrett; and her cherished granddaughters, Jordynn Barrett and Jayd Barrett. She is also survived by her brother, Derek Devlin, and sister-in-law, Bev Devlin; niece, Amy Corkett (Adam Corkett), and their children, Quentin and Finnley; nephew, Michael Devlin, and his children, Rylan and Emersyn Devlin. Ro’s extended family, friends, and all who were touched by her grace will carry her memory forward with love.
She had a special place in her heart for the family dogs—Kim’s dog, Sadie, and Jayd’s dog, Bella—whose companionship brought her so much joy and comfort.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of HSC Ward GD6 for their amazing care and compassion. May Ro’s memory be a blessing, and may we honour her by sharing the same warmth she offered so freely.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in Ro’s memory.
“Those we love don’t go away;
they walk beside us every day.”
