July 11, 1946 – March 15, 2024
It is with great sadness we announced the sudden passing of our beloved Doraine, peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Doraine was predeceased by her parents, Joesph & Pauline Vogel from Beausejour.
Left to mourn her devastating loss is her only son Kevin Vogel of Winnipeg. Her “pride & joy”, who she raised as a single mom for her entire life. She was the most proud, kind, caring, loving mother anybody could ask for.
Doraine had countless friends and chosen family, who will miss her very dearly.
Memories of Doraine will be cherished forever by everyone who knew her from near and far. She was very loved in her small hometown of Beausejour, Manitoba, and always liked to visit and entertain her friends at the Howland Hotel. She shared many fun memories with all of her friends & staff there, whom all of the staff loved her, and they all became her good friends. Grabbing them to dance, sharing laughs, endless talks and playing her favourite songs on the jukebox, or simply making her own fun with them, she loved that so much.
We are truly blessed to have had her shining smile, and caring heart for the time that we did.

Cremation has taken place in honour of Doraine’s wishes, and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date in early spring or summer when people can really enjoy themselves, because that’s what she would love so much.

Dear Kevin,i'm so so sorry for your loss.Your Mom was a affectionate & warm person.I've known her since age sixteen when she first came for a job,& we hired her. We've been friends ever since.She was so very proud of you.I would love to touch base with you.I live now in BC last met up with her was Sept. of 2022.She was my forever friend.my phone no is 1 250 254 1137.

I am so very glad you became such a big part of our lives (Johnny, Johnnie and Devon) we miss you so very much already. I will forever remember your incredible pride for Kevin, your smile, watching you sit on my floor with the kids when they were so small, having you over for dinner.. and I am so grateful that the last time I seen you I made you dance with me and you laughed and said I was crazy as you hugged me and told me to say hi to the girls for you. Doraine was such a friendly, kind woman. We all looked forward to seeing her in the salon and saying hello. Kevin, she was so proud of you. You guys shared such a special bond. She will be missed by all. Sending all our love.
