BEVERLEY CONSTANCE BILLEHAUG

(née Hutchinson)

June 15, 1936 – April 8, 2026

Beverley Constance Billehaug (née Hutchinson) left this world gently on April 8, 2026, at the age of 89.

Her career was with Canada Post in Security and Investigations. After she and her husband Finn retired, they created the Prickly Pear Bed and Breakfast in Peachland, BC which was known for homemade bread and jam.

Bev was a breast cancer survivor and competed internationally with the Kelowna Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team. She truly enjoyed her retirement in Kelowna where she met many of her close friends and enjoyed a very active lifestyle.

Bev moved back to Winnipeg after Finn passed and was able to spend quality time with her extended family.

Bev was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Vera Hutchinson; as well as her beloved brothers, Billie (Claire) and Gerry (Helen). Bev leaves her daughter Dyan (Anthony), and son Rob (Diana and granddaughters, Katie, and Kelsey); sister-in-law Jeanne Billehaug (Bjorn Petter); nieces and nephews and dear friends.

The family is eternally grateful to the management and staff of the River East Care Home who cared for Bev with care and compassion.

Bev was so fun to be around. Never a dull moment! I'm blessed to have met her and spent time with her on the dragonboat team and on the cruise in 2014. We all missed her when she moved away.

She will never be forgotten!

Bev was truely beautiful inside and out. She was so much fun and full of mischief all the time. She was an inspiration to me. I was a fellow paddler and myself and the rest of the team missed her dearly after she left Kelowna.

Bev was a fellow paddler on the Kelowna Breast Cancer Team. Never a dull moment when Bev was about. It was great to have shared time with her.

She will be missed.

Bev, Finn and Happy lived across the street from us on 6th Avenue, Peachland for many years. We became good friends and we sorely miss them both. Our sincere condolences to all the family.
