Suzanne Billington

SUZANNE MARIE BILLINGTON
(Née Davie)
March 25, 1953 – March 4, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Momma, Suzanne Marie Billington, on March 4th, 2026, at the age of 72. Suzanne fought a long battle with many health problems but now rests pain-free.
She leaves to mourn her daughters, Tracy (Keith) and Sheila (Chris); and son Sean (Sheri).
She also leaves behind her very loved and cherished grandchildren, Larissa, Hayley, Riley, Brooke, Brandon, Liam, and Maddie; and her great-grandchildren Aria, Ryden, and Kingston.
Also left to mourn is her very dear friend Pat, who was like a sister to her, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Brian; her parents, Harry and Noella; her brother Braden; her sister Shirley; and her grandson Brady.
Suzanne was born and raised in Winnipeg. She lived her years in Transcona, raising her three children there. She was always a hardworking lady, from running the weight scale for Supercrete to being the friendly face at Transcona Husky and the Birdshill store. Suzanne’s final job was with WHRA, helping in her community with the sick and elderly, which she loved and took so much pride and joy from. Mom worked hard full-time all while still coaching our baseball teams, driving to hockey practices and games, and baton lessons. She always had Sunday dinners cooked and expected us all home, even as young adults. Our summers were always filled with sun and fun at our family cottage in Malachi, where she also grew up as a child with her parents. She loved bingo and a good game of cribbage, her Winnipeg Jets, and any curling game.
She loved her dogs, Pavel and Lilly—they brought her much love and joy.
But her family always came first, even when she was sick.
Suzanne spent the last year and a half at Riverview Healthcare, where she made so many friends. She went to bingo, bowling, and won cribbage tournaments. She enjoyed the live music concerts. She lived a full and busy time at Riverview. We would like to say thank you to all of the wonderful nurses, healthcare workers, and Dr. Blom. You all made her quality of life so much better—you cared for and loved our mother, and for that we are truly blessed and grateful.
Suzanne leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love. That legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. We are forever grateful for the love she gave us, the lessons she taught us, and the memories we will carry forward.
Thank you, Mom, for loving us so completely: your sacrifices, your patience, your kindness, your guidance, and your wisdom. You will always be our Momma, our Nanny, our Great-Grandma, and our friend. You will forever be loved and missed. Until we meet again.
Our Angel
An angel is someone who watches over you, someone who cares for you, and someone who loves you. An angel is a protector from harm, a guard, and a hero. Our angel never had wings or a halo, but she watched over us, cared for us, and loved us.
She guided us and was our hero.
Our angel was our Momma,
and now she has wings and a halo.
We love you always and forever.
Rest easy, Momma.

My condolences to Susan's family. During the mid 1970's, as a summer student, I had the pleasure of working with Susan on the weigh scales at Mccurdys supply and Brian on the crusher. They both were hardworking, wonderful people and family oriented. She will be missed, rest in peace Susan.

Sean and family, I'm so saddened to hear of your moms passing. Im sad that I didnt get to say goodbye as I was off work with a knee operation. Sean, you were a great son, she looked forward to your visits. We at RHC will miss her dearly. Your mom and bingo buddies can play as much bingo as they want now. My heart truly goes out to you Sean and family. I will miss your mom tremendously. Keep your memories close.

I met Susan when my son married her daughter, we hit it off pretty quickly and we had many long talks together. Although I feel that I've lost a sister I'm relieved that her struggle is over. Susan, you will never be forgotten. RIP sweetie.

Tracy,Sheila, Sean and Families I'm grateful for the memories I have of your mom from working at Taxation to playing Nintendo all night and parties in your basement. I'll always remember your mom's laugh and all the talks we had. These memories make me smile and tear up at the same time. With heartfelt sympathy.
