BONNIE MAE BOGACKI

October 22, 1946 - September 20, 2020

With heavy hearts and family by her side Bonnie Mae Bogacki, 73, of Winnipeg, passed away on September 20, 2020.

Bonnie was born on October 22, 1946 in Winnipeg. Her memory will always be cherished by her husband and love of her life,  Jerry Bogacki; her children, David Feuillatre, Glen Feuillatre (Rochelle), and Kenny Bogacki (Kim); her grandchildren, Crystal Klassen (Dane), Denise Feuillatre, Tyler Baumler, Katelyn Bogacki, Austin O'Connor, and Kelly Bogacki; and her great grandchildren, Aviana Feuillatre and Olivia Baumler.

Mom grew up in the Fort Rouge area of Winnipeg and one of her first jobs was working in a hospital morgue, unfortunately being a stressful place Mom soon realized this line of work wasn't for her.  She held odd jobs up until she decided Property Management is what she loved to do.

It wasn't always easy for Mom, by 1974 she was a single Mom of 2 boys and always put our needs in front of her own. Although it wasn't easy she made sure we never went without. In 1977 Mom welcomed another son into her life and dedicated her life to her boys.   In 1978, she met Jerry, and they wed in 1981, as with any family Mom dealt with challenges and together Mom and Jerry made it through them all.  We believe Mom's life was completed when she married Jerry and together they would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary this October.

Mom was very loving and compassionate but also very stubborn and opinionated, When she set her mind to something,  there was no changing it, a trait that all 3 of her children have inherited.  Mom loved when all the family would gather for holidays,  she would go out of her way to make it special.  She took great pride in her grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with them, whether it was babysitting them or just cuddling on the rocking chair with them they were her pride and joy.

For the last 30 years Mom was the building manager at the Niakwa Green, her love for the job was noticeable.  Every Halloween and Christmas the lobby would be decorated to the extreme.  She loved seeing how happy it made both the residents and visitors.  She made many lifetime friends that became part of the family over the years.  She treated everyone with respect and expected the same in return.  We would like to thank Smith Agency and the tenants of Niakwa Green for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and helping Dad cope with this great lose.

Bonnie was a passionate person and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found at Club Regent playing her favorite game Keno. We will miss her greatly.

We would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital ICU doctors and staff for the care and compassion shown to us during this difficult time.  Thank you to Anthony and staff at Simple Cremation Services for all the help and guidance offered during this difficult time.

Cremation has already taken place.  Due to the Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Those we love don't go away,

They walk beside us everyday,

Unseen, Unheard but always near,

so loved, so missed, so very dear.

- We love you Mom!

You never said I'm Leaving,

You never said goodbye,

You were gone before I knew it,

And only God knew why.

A million times I needed you.

A million times I cried.

If love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died.

In life, I loved you dearly.

In death I love you still.

In my heart you hold a place.

That no one could ever fill.

It broke my heart to lose you,

But you didn't go alone

For part of me went with you,

The day God took you home.

Love You,  Miss You Always,

Your Granddaughters - Crystal & Denise
