GREGORY L. BOHONOS

November 15, 1937 - April 25, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Gregory Bohonos on April 25, 2023 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

Greg is survived by his brother Edward and sister-in-law Dorothy; nieces, Dawn and Nicole; nephews, Jay (Lisa) and Justin (Tiffany); great nephews, Christian (Ashlyn), Zach (Aubrey), Colton, and Ruark; great nieces, Danielle (John), Chloe, Grace, and Katie; as well as great-great nephews, Cayden and Dean; and great-great niece Rowyn. Uncle Greg had a large extended family who loved him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Caroline, as well as his brother Joseph.

Greg was a very faithful man who always signed his cards with “God Bless”. His caring, thoughtful nature defined him as he regularly put others ahead of himself. His generous spirit and kind mannerisms were qualities that endeared him to all who met him. He will be truly missed.

Greg's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church (271 Hampton Street).

Greg's family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by watching the photo-biography above. Please, also consider sharing your own photos, memories, and stories by making use of the comment section on this page.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Dear Ed, Dorothy and family, I met Greg just once and that was at my husband Art's funeral. Greg came to find me to offer his condolences and explain that he was there to replace Ed and Dorothy, who could not make it. What a kind, generous and wonderful gentleman he was, I thought! My sincere condolences, Lucille Findish

My Condolences to you Eddy, Dorothy and the rest of the Greg’s family. Whenever I think of Greg  I remember things we did as kids when we all lived on Hallet Street in our early early days.  We had fun on the street and on the lane.  Thinking of them after the fact we realized that they were not only foolish but often quite dangerous.   Do you remember Ed???  Your photo biography is beautiful.   Once again my condolences to all.  ❤Greg was a great guy. Greg was such a great man and family was so important to him. He would drive granny all the way across town in the morning so she could look after Christian and make the return trip after work.
