SHIRLEY BOILY

(née Shachtay)

August 5, 1950 - November 14, 2021

Shirley went on to be with the love of her life on November 14th, 2021. Shirley passed away at the age 71. She was predeceased by her brother, Ernie Shachtay, in 1952; her father Harry in 1997; her mother Anne in 2005; the love of her life, Denis Boily in 2010; and her sister Susan Troschuk in 2019.

She is survived by son Ernie Boily and his fiancé Ashley; grandchildren, Deanna, Meaghan, Matthew, Abigail, Peyton, and Lucas Boily; her special girl Kaydence Lynch; brother Larry Shachtay (Tracy); as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Shirley was born in Winnipeg on August 5th, 1950. She met the love of her life, Denis Boily, in 1967, they married on October 18th, 1969 and they welcomed their son on August 17th 1974. Shirley tried her hand at many careers but her most favourite was Ebbling Pharmacy of 22 and a half years which she retired from in 2004.

Shirley enjoyed ceramics and paper toll, but her passion was cross stitch. Shirley loved to travel, her most memorable was a month-long trip to Hawaii with her love Denis in 2005.

Shirley was a very kind, fun and loving person. Her infectious laugh and smile would brighten up any room. Shirley traveled to Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, and many cities and towns. She also loved going on casino trips with her friends Fred and Cynthia.

Ernie and Ashley would like to spend a special thanks to Fred for being mom's friend and for his companionship throughout the years. Along with her best friend Charlene Will. Thank you for always being there for mom for the past 30 plus years. You were there in the good times and never turned you back when times get tough.

Thank you to all the nurses and doctors at Riverview Health Center for all of their tender loving care.

Until we meet again Mom.

We love you to the moon and back.

My mom and I are so sorry to read your mom passed away. We were next door neighbours and school chums. We shared a lot of happy times Sandy Lake,  JaysDisco, and I was one of her bridesmaids.
