HENDRINA GEERTRUIDA BOIVIN

April 17, 1957 - September 11, 2022

Under the skies of a full moon, on Grandparents Day, September 11, 2022, our beloved Ina passed away. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our mother, grandmother, auntie & sister.

She will be missed by her daughter Miranda (Daniel), granddaughters Allyssa (William) & Abrianna, grandsons Nico & Mason, sister Marianne (Ron) Stuve, nephews Brandon & Ryan Stuve, brother-in-law Perry Woloski, nephews Andrew, Daniel, Caleb & niece Jana Woloski.

She was predeceased by her husband Brian (2003), mother (1969), father (2014) & sister Jacqueline Woloski (née Frysteen) (2004).

Born April 17, 1957 in The Netherlands, she & her parents immigrated to Canada (Winnipeg) in 1959, and briefly lived in the Northwest Territories, where she earned her nursing degree, and returned to Winnipeg in 1985.

Her grandchildren were the loves of her life. She would light up when talking about them or to them.  Her Lord was also a large part of her life.  We are at peace knowing she is now in His care.

She had many health challenges for a number of years but, in the end, it was the cancer that won.

If you had the pleasure to know Ina, she certainly was one of a kind. There was always a story or 20 to tell and ‘70’s & ‘80’s music to sing along to. She also had a far-reaching love and affection for her birds.

There will be a private celebration of life, that will take place in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations may be made in her honour towards the Manitoba Lung association

Ina’s family, I have known Ina since I was a 19 yr old mom in Yellowknife.  I was in an emotionally abusive relationship and she opened her door to me and allowed me and my new son to live there until we could get on our feet.  Her heart, honesty &  generosity  helped me build a new life.  I am forever grateful to her.  You have my heartfelt condolences.

My deepest sympathy to Ina’s family. We connected on Facebook through a mutual friend. Though I never personally met her we shared so much in common.  May she Rest in Peace.
