Beauchemin Bradley
BRADLEY WILFRED PIERRE BEAUCHEMIN
It is with deep sadness that the family of Bradley Wilfred Pierre Beauchemin announce his passing on Saturday August.17, 2019 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bradley was born on July.21, 1955 to parents William (Bill) Beauchemin & Haldora (Dora) Beauchemin (née Haldorson). Brad grew up in Norwood attending Nelson McIntyre Collegiate., where he enjoyed playing sports and followed his heart to become a “Rockstar”
Some of Brads biggest accomplishments were attending the Blue Bomber training camp, and touring with Nazareth. He was a Singer with numerous other bands including Bobby Bilan, Peter Dobo, Glider, and Fog.
In 1977 he married his first wife Gail and in 1980 they welcomed his first daughter Ashley. In 1985 he married his second wife Barb and they welcomed a second daughter Jade. In 1986 he welcomed his first son Lee followed by his second son Devin in 1992. He met and remained with his common-law life-partner Angela, in 2001.
Brad worked as a CNC Operator for many years then pursued the Automotive field as a technician at Curtis tire. He was always recognized for his size and people loved his jokes and kind demeanour.
Family members and those close to him knew that Brad always had a smart ass remark for everything, but was also one of the kindest, big hearted people you could meet. Brad spent most of his free time over the years singing and playing his guitar or harmonica. Everything about music remained a passion of Brads up until the day he died.
Brad was the kind of father & grandfather that was very active with his children, whether it was teaching them to sing & play instruments, or coaching their sports teams. He also was the type that loved to push the bar and see what kind of mischief they could all get into. Which often got him into trouble with their mothers. It didn't matter to him as long as the children were smiling, laughing and having fun.
Brad loved sports and cheered on the Winnipeg Jets but he LOVED the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, he was often caught saying he bled blue. God forbid if you called him or talked during one of their games. It was an unwritten rule that was not to be broken. He was a gentle soul and loved his pets, from his dog Smokey he had as a child, to his cats Kamala, Princess, and finally his beloved cat Baby.
Brad was predeceased by his father William, in 1981; mother Haldora in 2001; grandparents; and many special aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his four children Ashley (Will) Philippot, Jade Beauchemin, Lee Beauchemin, and Devin Chercoe; five Grandchildren Austin Suszko, Samara Suszko, Mya Philippot, Layla Philippot, and Nolan Chercoe; his common-law life partner Angela Klassen; best-friend Shirley Boxal; Aunt Gail Halldorson; as well as many close cousins.
His family would like to relay a special thank you to his Doctor Michael Hochman and his Palliative Nurse Carol Mackenzie for the care they provided to him. As well as the numerous friends and family members who have helped throughout this journey.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church) followed by a celebration of his life in the West Broadway Neighbourhood Center, 185 Young Street.
