RICKIE ALLEN BROWN

December 23, 1956 - April 4 2020

With heavy hearts, we announce Rickie passed away on April 4, 2020 at the age of 63.

He was predeceased by his partner Georgina Genaille, as well as his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth, and his sister Rita and brother Robert. He is survived by his children Corrin, Rickie and Bevon, as well as his grandchildren, Ocean, Anaka, Jayden and Kaleb. He is also survived by his brothers Tom (Darlene), Tim (Val), and Kelly (Jess) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Rickie was a happy-go-lucky man, who would be the first person willing to help anyone in need. He was a huge prankster, and loved to tease just about anyone around him, he was also one of the most stubborn people you would come across.

Rickie loved to tinker with just about anything he could break to see if he could make it go faster. He had a natural ability to take things and make them bigger, and better than before, even if it only lasted a day or two. Rickie loved to build chopper bikes and had fun repairing bikes for neighbour hood kids. You could find Rickie volunteering at the Hope Centre whenever he felt well enough to venture out.

Rickie had a passion for family history, and dedicated years to building his family genealogy. He would spend countless hours researching and educating his family on their heritage. This was a project that he was proud of and immersed himself in.

Rickie had an open invitation to just about anyone who met him to join him in a cup of tea or a game of cards. Rickie truly touched the hearts of anyone who knew him. He had a heart of gold that could not bare to see anyone go without, he was a friend to anyone he had come across.

A celebration of Rickie’s life will be held at a later date.
