ADRIANNE "AUDREY" BURTNIAK

(née KALETA)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, sister-in-law, aunt and friend Audrey Burtniak. Audrey passed away after a brief illness at the age of 80 with her husband by her side.

She was predeceased by her parents Claudia and Joseph, brothers Ted, Frank, Ken and baby sister Lorraine. Audrey is survived by her husband Don and several nieces and nephews.

Audrey was born in Winnipeg and lived her entire life here. She worked for many years at Inter-collegiate Press.

Over the years Audrey was a dog mom to Dynamite, Maggie and Miley. They were all so special to her and she spoiled them all. She was also a great lover of bingo. She and her mother would play several nights a week.  One of those nights is where she met her husband, Don. Audrey and Don were married for 38 years.

Audrey’s many nieces and nephews have fond memories of their many trips to A & W and Kildonan park with her. Every year there was always a call on their Birthdays.

She will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.

We would like to give a huge Thank you to the staff of the ICU and 3 North for all their care and patience.

Cremation has taken place and a private burial with immediate family is planned for a later date.

Greatly loved, deeply missed.

Audrey's family kindly requests that all of her friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour her memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
