I am saddened to learn of Jack's sudden passing.  He was a fine gentleman.  We knew one another through curling and the Strathcona Senior curling championships.  We also saw one another on a regular basis at the St. James Centennial Fitness Center.  I always looked forward to our meetings and discussions.  He loved his winter baseball trips and had many memories of them.  He was a genial man and very wise.  He will be missed by a great many people.  My deepest sympathy to the family. Very well done to the creators of the photo-biography in tribute to my friend, Jack. I first met Jack in the early 1990's when my friend and I were stranded on the side of a highway enroute Carman for a golf tournament.  Although total strangers Jack pulled over, we loaded our clubs in his car and he delivered us to the first tee with time to spare. From that point on our paths crossed many times usually on the streets of Westwood, in particular  the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club where he was always  willing to lend his time and expertise as required.  Jack's omnipresent smile and sage advice will be missed.  Rest in peace, old pal.   Paul Batchelor, AMCC Board Of Directors.

Jack was our next door friendly neighbour when we lived on Reynolds Bay.  We had some great chats over the back fence and enjoyed the many different kinds of tomatoes he gave us in the summer.  He would plant them everywhere there was space and they always produced a good crop.

I worked with Jack at Manitoba Hydro. He was always cordial, friendly, with a high level of integrity. Jack was also a team mate on the Manitoba Hydro softball team in the Industrial Fastball League. Good ball player; we had   fun times.

Met Jack through Hall of Fame . Became good friends at our local watering hole where we shared beers and baseball stories until the most recent closing . We were looking forward to seeing the Goldeyes again. Also had a few discussions about L😟abour Relations issues. I will miss him dearly,as will our mutual buddy Bert, and our special waitress Sammy.

I very much valued my friendship with Jack, as well as our chats, his homemade salsa, plentiful supply of tomatoes, and the occasional Altamont orchestra gatherings. He was a very special man and I will greatly miss him. ❤

Jack was a class guy. He loved to smile and was always level-headed. His devotion to the Baseball Hall of Fame was admirable. He will be missed but not forgotten!

It was back in 2010 when I got the call to the Hall from Jack ! Since then I had the great pleasure of being a board member with the Hall and being under Jack's wing ! Jack was a great man, smart, knew his stuff, and if he had some advice for ya. You'd best take it ! I'll always remember our chats at the Hall of Fame Games at Shaw Park ! Rest in peace Sir !

I was very sad to hear of Jack’s passing, he was a kind man and I enjoyed over the years the times I saw him around the curling rink! I lived next door to his family as a small child and his daughter Danielle was a dear childhood friend.  I wanted to send all my love and condolences to the family, Kristy (Jenion) McDonald
