He is survived by his son Paul (Melanie); daughter Courtney; and grandchildren, Mathew, Adam, Owen, and Bodie.
He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Lourdes Bergantim, Matilde Bergantim, Juliana Branco (Manuel), Idalina Barbosa (Fernando), Ezzie Lourenco (Caesar); brother Mario Camara (Connie); brother-in-law Joao Sousa; sisters-in-law, Helen and Char Camara; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Manuel was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1965 with his family when he was 11 years old.
A hard-working and dedicated bricklayer, Manuel left his mark on many structures throughout Manitoba, from fireplaces to large public works projects. He enjoyed being with his pet dogs and bird, tinkering with receivers, listening to vinyl records, and hanging out with friends at various Portuguese clubs throughout the city.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all the nursing home and hospital staff for their care and compassion to Manuel and his family during this difficult time.
A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, followed by a Mass of a Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. North, with Father Andre Lico presiding. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow.
