HEROLD CLEMENT CAMPBELL

March 17, 1946 – June 27, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, on June 27, 2024, at the age of seventy-eight. Herold was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica. He is preceded in death by his father, Hopeton Campbell; and his mother, Judith (Richards) Campbell. Herold is survived by his siblings: Mavis, Monica, Gloria and Josephine. He is also survived by his children: Jacqueline, Geneve, Herold Jr., Garfield, Jeffery, Tanya, Toby, Tracy-Ann, Debbie, Trudy, Dannesha, Judith, and Sonia. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren and to name a few, Shari, Kaley, Ebony, Dwayne, Niomi, Alicia, Quincy, Alias, Sieanna, Iris, Kelo and many more. Herold also leaves behind nieces and nephews.

During his younger years, Herold worked at Tia Maria and completed his apprenticeship in mechanics. He enjoyed swimming and deep-sea fishing, which fostered his love for various fish dishes. After relocating to Canada, he pursued a career in long-distance truck driving. He had a great passion for the open road and travelled extensively across Canada and the USA, earning the nickname "Truckie" within the Jamaican community. Herold loved to dance and sing, he also enjoyed playing dominos, listening to music, and was known for his easygoing nature.

He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. May he rest in peace. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on July 22, 2024, at St. Emile Catholic Church (556 St. Anne’s Rd.), followed by the Celebration of Life (Re-Past), at the Jamaican Association of Manitoba (1098 Winnipeg Ave.), all are welcome to attend.

Herold’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.

Errol would always make me laugh as a young girl when he came to visit his uncle in Jamaica. He would also encourage me to do well, along with my other siblings.

Harold was kind and jovial. He always made me laugh at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. He had the funniest stories about driving to the states. He will surely be missed. SIP Harold.

The first time I met Helord I saw an easy going individual who was enjoying and living his life to the fullest. He made you feel welcomed by his smile and sharing world politics. Any time I had to sit around him; Politics was the topic and everyone could enjoy the debate as I did. He is going to be missed but not forgotten. Rest In Power Sir.
