November 11, 1961 – July 1, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce that Joseph passed away on July 1, 2025 at the age of 64.
He is survived by his daughter Jamie; his siblings, Susan, Jessie, and Rodolfo (Boy) Capistrano; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family in both Canada and the Philippines.
Known as Jojo or Telok by friends and family, he was a zany, stubborn and bold man who lived very unapologetically. You would likely find him cackling at his own jokes, making friends and being quite a conversation starter with his sports jersey, leather pants and cowboy boot combo.
A viewing and funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road (Unitarian Church).
Joseph’s family kindly requests that all of his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by sharing photos, memories, and stories, using the comment section on this page.
