JOHN ADELARD CARDINAL

January 18, 1963 - April 22, 2023

With great sadness, we announce that John passed away on April 22, 2023, in the comfort of his home at the age of 60 years.

He is survived by his siblings Gerry, Joanne, Rita and Robert as well as extended family and many friends.  He was predeceased by his parents John and Ottilia and his spouse Don.

John was an incredibly gifted artist in so many ways.  It didn't matter what he worked with; whether it be paint, clay, food, pen and paper, or fabric, he made beautiful creations that came straight from his heart.  From a very early age he started to draw and paint pictures that would make you think he had taken art lessons, but he never did; it was his natural gift.  When someone would want to purchase one of the pictures John had made, he would humbly say "it's not good enough."

During the summer months John loved to tend to his many plants and flowers out on his balcony and in the winter he brought them all indoors to keep them thriving.  He had a green thumb that kept him busy planting seeds and cuttings of all kinds including growing a pineapple tree, an avocado plant from seed, a lemon tree and multiple varieties of colorful flowers.  With the small fountains he had running amongst the plants and flowers, he created a very tranquil feeling of comfort in his home.

John was happiest when he was able to make people laugh and with his sharp, witty sense of humor he was often doing just that. He was a very loving, caring and generous person with a beautiful soul. He had a true passion for helping others and this was very evident in all the fund raising events he organized and took part in over the years in order to benefit multiple charities in need.  If you were someone in need of a shoulder to cry on, John could be counted on to sit down and listen.

John's siblings were so fortunate to have him take the lead in growing up as their big brother.  As kids, he was willing to go to any length to protect his younger siblings and he often came running to their rescue when there were troubles of any kind. As adults, John's siblings always knew they could still count on him to be there for them whenever needed.  He was a great big brother.

A person of multiple talents, gifts, and passions, John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rest peacefully John.  Until we meet again.....Cheerio Kiddo!!!!!

In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
